Immiboards ― Alberta AINP has released details of its 11th PNP draw of 2021. AINP invited 191 candidates to apply for provincial nomination on June 5, 2021.
The number of candidates that were invited in this Alberta AINP June draw has decreased by 59 compared to previous draw and the Comprehensive Ranking Score cut off also decreased by 1 point.

Alberta did not specify details of occupations that were targeted this AINP June draw.
The candidates who have received invitation can now apply for Alberta Express Entry stream.
Alberta PNP program (AINP) regularly selects candidates from the Federal Express Entry pool and issues NOI’s (Notification of Interest).
Successful applicants receive additional 600 points to their CRS score, thereby virtually guaranteeing an ITA from Express Entry draw.
Alberta Covid Response and impact on Alberta AINP
Last year from the allotted quota of 6,250 nomination certificates received from IRCC, Alberta used only 4,000 nomination certificates due to pandemic induced economic slowdown.
Alberta stopped issuing invitations after June 17, 2020 in response to the pandemic driven slowdown.
As Alberta current policy, it is inviting only inland candidates who are currently living and working in Alberta. It is expected that Alberta will start inviting outland candidates in second half of current year.
Alberta AINP is very popular for international applicants due to is lower CRS requirement as it helps receive nomination from Alberta faster than other provinces.
However, Alberta has not invited any outland candidate after June last year due to current labour market situation.
Government is prioritizing inland candidate as part of it’s AINP Covid response plan. As on November 20, most positions in Alberta are not eligible to apply for a Labour Market Impact Assessment.
Candidates who wish to apply for Alberta Express Entry stream must first create an Express Entry profile since Alberta AINP chooses the candidates from the Express Entry pool.
Alberta PNP currently does not have information on the number of nominations it can issue in 2021.
Canada’s Provincial Nominee Programs are extremely popular with applicants as it provides a certain pathway to Canadian permanent residence with 600 points.
