Alberta’s New Express Entry Draws: 850 Invitations Issued

Immiboards ― Alberta has conducted two new Express Entry draws, issuing invitations to a combined 850 candidates. The first draw took place on Monday, August 23, and the second was held last Monday (August 30). A total of 850 Invitations to Apply for permanent residence were issued in these draws.

In the first draw on August 23, 2021, Alberta Immigration issued 450 invitations with a Comprehensive Ranking Score Cut-off of 300 points through its Alberta Immigrant Nominee Program.

In the second draw, on August 30, 2021, a total of 400 invitations were issued. This time with a Comprehensive Ranking Score Cut-off of 301 points. To be eligible for Alberta’s Provincial Nominee Program, candidates must score at least 300 points in Expression of Interest Draws.

Alberta has now invited 4,007 Express Entry candidates to apply for provincial nominations in 2021 against the sanctioned quota of 6250 invitations.

Alberta did not specify details of occupations that were targeted in this Express Entry draw.

The candidates who have received invitation can now apply for Alberta Express Entry stream.

The Alberta Express Entry stream focuses on candidates who are qualified to work in various occupations and are interested in immigrating permanently and living in Alberta. The candidate needs to meet these requirements to contribute economically towards the development of Alberta’s economy.

Alberta Immigrant Nominee Program (AINP) regularly selects candidates from the Federal Express Entry pool and issues NOI’s (Notification of Interest).

Successful applicants receive additional 600 points to their CRS score, thereby virtually guaranteeing an ITA from Express Entry draw.

Canada’s Provincial Nominee Programs are extremely popular with applicants as it provides a certain pathway to Canadian permanent residence with 600 points.
