EDMONTON ― Alberta immigration has invited 293 candidates for permanent residency on October 12, 2021. Alberta has issued a total of 5,910 PNP invitations so far in 2021 through its Alberta Immigrant Nominee Program (AINP).

The CRS cut-off for Alberta AINP Draw (20211012) was 300 points which is the minimum requirement to be eligible for Alberta’s Provincial Nominee Program. The cut-off has remained the same for past several Alberta draws. Alberta is regularly inviting applicants to come and live in Alberta permanently.

Alberta has now invited 5,910 Express Entry candidates to apply for provincial nominations in 2021.

Last year, Alberta’s sanctioned quota by IRCC was 6,250 invitations. The number of nominations that Alberta AINP can issue in the current year (2021) is the same i.e. 6,250 invitations so we can expect more draws before the close of year.

Alberta did not specify details of occupations that were targeted in this Express Entry draw.

The candidates who have received invitation can now apply for Alberta Express Entry stream. They must submit the application within 45 days of receiving the invitation.

The Alberta Express Entry stream focuses on candidates who are qualified to work in various occupations and are interested in immigrating permanently and living in Alberta. The candidate needs to meet these requirements to contribute economically towards the development of Alberta’s economy.

Alberta Immigrant Nominee Program (AINP) regularly selects candidates from the Federal Express Entry pool and issues NOI’s (Notification of Interest).

Successful applicants receive additional 600 points to their CRS score, thereby virtually guaranteeing an ITA from Express Entry draw.

Alberta’s economy took a hit during the pandemic. Now as the province opens up, new opportunities and job demand is on the rise. Alberta has recovered all 337,000 jobs lost during the pandemic period February and April 2020. Employment is now above 0.2% the level of Feb 2020. The province is now looking for over more new workers as they prepare for a more stable future.

Canada’s Provincial Nominee Programs are extremely popular with applicants as it provides a certain pathway to Canadian permanent residence with 600 points.
