OTTAWA ― In the latest Canada Express Entry draw conducted on June 27, 2023, the Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) invited a total of 4,300 candidates to apply for permanent residency. Lowest-ranked candidate had a Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score of 486, and received an invitation in this “no program” (open to all) draw.

The Canada Express Entry system is a popular pathway for skilled foreign workers who wish to immigrate to Canada. It manages the applications for three federal economic immigration programs: the Federal Skilled Worker Program (FSWP), the Federal Skilled Trades Program (FSTP), and the Canadian Experience Class (CEC). The Express Entry draws are conducted regularly, and candidates are ranked based on factors such as age, education, work experience, and language proficiency.

The CRS score of 486 for the lowest-ranked candidate in Draw 251 indicates a relatively high competition for immigration to Canada. The CRS score is calculated based on various factors, and a higher score increases the chances of receiving an invitation to apply for permanent residency.

The invitation round saw a total of 4,300 candidates being invited to apply for permanent residency, indicating Canada’s ongoing commitment to welcoming skilled individuals from around the world. These candidates will now have the opportunity to submit their complete application for permanent residency through the Express Entry system.

Over the past few years, the CRS score requirements have varied in different Express Entry draws. While there have been draws with higher CRS scores, indicating a more competitive environment, there have also been draws with lower CRS scores, providing a better opportunity for candidates with lower scores to receive an invitation. It is important for potential candidates to regularly monitor the Express Entry draws and maintain a competitive CRS score to enhance their chances of receiving an invitation to apply for permanent residency in Canada.

The Express Entry system continues to play a crucial role in Canada’s economic immigration strategy, attracting skilled workers who contribute to the country’s labor market and overall growth. As the program evolves, potential immigrants should stay updated on the latest draw results and ensure they meet the eligibility requirements to maximize their chances of success in the Express Entry system.

The next Express Entry draw is eagerly anticipated, as candidates from around the world wait for an opportunity to fulfill their dreams of starting a new chapter in Canada and contributing to its vibrant multicultural society.
