VICTORIA — The British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program has issued 85 invitations for permanent residence under BC Tech draw on September 21, 2021.
Invitations were issued to Skilled Worker and International Graduates under Skills Immigration and Express Entry BC categories. BC conducted previous tech draw on October 5, 2021.
BC PNP issued a total of 85 invitations in the “SI-Skilled Worker”, “SI-International Graduate”, “EEBC-Skilled Worker”, “EEBC-International Graduate” categories of the British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program (BC PNP) Tech Pilot draw.
The provincial score cut-off for BC Tech draw Oct 19 was 75 points. B.C. did not provide a breakdown of invitations issued in each category. The cut-off has not changed from the previous draw.
Summary of BC Tech Draw Oct 19, 2021:
SI – Skilled Worker – required a score of 75
SI – International Graduate – required a score of 75
EEBC – Skilled Worker – required a score of 75
EEBC – International Graduate – required a score of 75
Candidates who receive an invite under this program must have an indefinite, full-time job offer with an employer in B.C., without which they would not qualify. Invitees now must apply for a nomination within 30 days of receiving the email.
There are specific criteria’s that one must meet to be eligible for the Tech Pilot draw.
The job offer from an eligible employer must:
- Be valid for a minimum of one year (365 days)
- Have a minimum of 120 days remaining at the time of application to the BC PNP
Processing times for 80% of BC PNP applications is 2-3 months from receipt. Tech Pilot applications have shorter processing timeframes. The BC Tech Pilot is now a permanent program under BCPNP. BC conducts a Tech draw every other Tuesday.

British Columbia has issued 10,000 PNP invitations so far in 2021.
A Provincial Nomination allows a candidate to secure 600 additional points thus virtually guaranteeing an invite in the Express Entry Draw.
